Jp duminy dismissed from clt20 2014 481 views
Cape Cobras have suffered a big setback even before the start of their 2014 Champions League T20 (CLT20) campaign as JP Duminy has been ruled out due to a knee injury. In fact, even during the tri-series in Zimbabwe, he was troubled by knee injury.
Duminy is the second high profile Cobras player to miss out of the CLT20 2014. Beuran Hendricks, who was the highest wicket-taker in the Ram Slam Challenge, was earlier ruled out of the tournament due to a stress fracture on his back.
Duminy has been a regular feature in the Cobras side, having played for them in two CLT20 editions. He had helped them get to the semi-finals in 2009. Duminy has also played in the CLT20 with Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad and His experience will be sorely missed.
According to a report on ESPNCricinfo, the replacement for Duminy could be 26-year-old all-rounder Sybrand Engelbrecht, but an approval from the CLT20 technical committee is still pending.
