Jagmohan Dalmiya was elected unopposed as the new President of BCCI by replacing Srinivasan in elections held in Chennai on Monday. Shivlal Yadav chaired the AGM BCCI and also monitored activities in Chennai.
 


Anurag Thakur the head of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association is the new Secretary of the BCCI. Thakur beat Sanjay Patel for a vote to take over the post. The victory of Thakur was also a setback for the camp's N Srinivasan. Sanjay Patel was a close collaborator of Srinnivasan while Thakur was supported by Sharad Pawar.

1 CK DDCA Khanna will be Vice President of the middle zone. He hit Jyotiraditya Scindia of Madhya Pradesh.
2 Anirudh Chaudhry beat Rajiv Shukla for the post of Treasurer.
3 TC Mathew will be Vice President of the West zone while he came on behalf of Kerala. He edged Ravi Sawant of Mumbai.
4 Set of post Secretary General was Amitabh Chaudhary. present was a tie flanked by Chaudhary and Chetan Desai. The casting vote to break the tie was made by the Chairman of the General meeting of shareholders, Shivlal Yadav. The victory of Chaudhary was a victory for the camp Srinivasan as Desai was sent by Pawar.

There was some controversy at the beginning of the day when the Rajasthan Cricket Association suspended went ahead to try to participate in the General meeting but they were not allowed to enter.
Dalmiya a former ICC Chief emerged as the leading candidate in the midst of negotiations on back of votes in the elections. According to reports Dalmiya was the strongest contender after obtaining the support of six units of the East zone. Apparently, he was the "consensus candidate" among rival factions by the BCCI President where he served a decade ago a report in the PTI he said.
The Supreme Court forbade Srinivasan is presented as a candidate to head of BCCI despite that can cast their vote as a result of his research on an array of betting scandal and surrounding the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Court in January found Srinivasan guilty of a conflict of interest by having business dealings in the sport by owning an IPL franchise while it was also head of the BCCI. Srinivasan is the current ICC Chief Dalmiya served as President of the ICC during the three years 1997-2000.
Dalmiya was overthrown by rivals as BCCI Chief in 2005 after a more than decades of reign over the BCCI. The 74 year old is credited for helping to turn the game into a lucrative global sport. He brought twice the World Cup to the Indian subcontinent in 1987 and 1996. A BCCI orator declined to comment on the media reports while the own Dalmiya could not be contacted.
Dalmiya had attended the meeting of February 08 of the BCCI Working Committee. Speaking to the Indian Express one of the members of the CAB had said that it was monitoring the evolution of the Supreme Court on Srinivasan and prepared himself as the consensus candidate.
