Chasing Seddon Park is not the most intimidating task but this was the first time that the men of Brendon McCullum appeared too rocked for a long period of time. Although New Zealand attacked from the moment they chose to field, Mahmudullah countered by putting together partnerships sustained. He added 90 and 78 runs with Soumya Sarkar and Sabbir Rahman for the third and sixth wickets and two short in the middle with Shakib al Hasan who led Bangladesh instead of the injured MashrafeMortaza and Mushfiqur Rahim.

Boult kept hitting a length of middle and stump that was difficult to not play. Removed Imrul with a magnificent drop ball began to descend on the batsman's leg stump threw in the middle and uprooted the off stump. He was asking too much for Imrul that did well for the Association's first portillo to 5.4 last credits the longer second against New Zealand in the group stage.

Tamim survived one that is curled inches past his off stump and a yorker Southee immersion. A border did not slip into the room again but Tamim began to drive better doing a little bit of space. He took the first limit of entries a clip of Boult pads eighth more but was dismissed in the 18th nicking Corey Anderson to slide by 13 of27.
